Verbena hastata Vervain Family Verbenaceae
July - September common
Description: From 2 to5 feet tall. Leaves are ovate, pointed and toothed,lower leaves may be 3 lobed. Flowers are in long slender stalks, 5 petald, blooming a few at on time and advancing toward the pointed tip. Stem is grooved and 4 sided.
